WHS BASEBALL: Wildcats Get 1-Hit By Burlington, Drop To 2-4 On Season

WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington High School Varsity Baseball team (2-4) fell to Burlington by a score of 6-0 on Monday, April 23 at Francis Wyman School in Burlington.

Burlington ace Josh Becker threw a one-hitter. The Wilmington bats have gone cold, getting shutout for a second straight game.

Wilmington’s Chris Stokes received his first loss of the year. Stokes lasted 4 1/3 innings, getting no help behind him as the Wildcats committed four errors. Carl Beatrice was sharp in relief for the Wildcats.

Wilmington generated four baserunners, stranding two of them at third base. Matt Rideout had the lone hit for the Wildcats with a solid single to center in the 4th inning.Dylan Bresnahan and Graham Smith reached on walks, while Chris Grecco reached on a throwing error.
