I am writing on behalf of David Ragsdale, in support of his campaign for election to the Wilmington School Committee.
I recently had the privilege of working with David on the Wilmington Superintendent Screening Committee during the months of January and February. Members of this committee were selected by their respective school Parent Advisory Councils for their commitment to the educational future of the students of Wilmington Public Schools.
I consider myself a lucky resident of Wilmington having had the opportunity to work with David in the political/professional arena with our work on the Screening Committee. However, as a parent and a town resident, the reasons why I would vote for David are reasons that are obvious to anyone who has met him. David is an involved town resident; he is often one of a handful of parents at school committee meetings, demonstrating his commitment to the task. He is involved in extracurricular activities with his children, especially coaching soccer or attending a Book Fair to purchase just one more brightly colored book. David is soft-spoken, yet firm. He is thorough in his work and wise in his decision making.
As a parent of 2 young children attending Wilmington Public Schools, I would like to see a School Committee composed of members that are passionate about education in our town and our goals as a community. David is aligned with both of these features.
Please join me in supporting the future of Wilmington Public Schools by voting David Ragsdale for Wilmington School Committee.
