WILMINGTON, MA — Michael Charles Martin, age 39, of Wilmington, formerly of Malden and Tewksbury, passed away unexpectedly on April 5, 2018, at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington.
Michael was born on August 14, 1979; he was the cherished only son to Charles and Paulette Martin. Michael was raised and educated in Malden, MA; he attended Cheverus Centennial School and was a graduate of Malden Catholic High School with the Class of 1996. Michael was also an active communicant of Sacred Heart Parish in Malden where he served as an altar boy for many years.
Michael was a loving father of Michael and McKayla; his kids were his entire world and did everything for them. Whether is was playing video games with his son or watching wrestling with his daughter; he treasured the time they spent together. Michael also enjoyed driving them to school and cooking for them; especially his famous chicken cutlets. Michael loved his children with all his heart; he fought fiercely for them and made sure they were always taken care of.
Michael will be fondly remembered as a “great guy” who would do anything for anyone; he was a wonderful son, dad, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend to many. He will be missed tremendously by all who knew and loved him.
Michael was the cherished son of Charles and Paulette (Soucy) Martin of Wilmington, formerly of Malden, he is survived by his beloved children Michael C. Jr. and McKayla Martin both of Wilmington and their mother JoAnne Sessa of Tewksbury. He was the dear brother of Deede Ann (Martin) Mebane & husband John of Quakertown, PA, loving uncle of Cheyenne, Cameron and Calie Mebane. Michael is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Family and friends will gather at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, on Friday, April 13th at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 126 Middlesex Ave., Wilmington at 10:00 a.m. Visiting Hours will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday, April 12th from 3:00-8:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers donations in Michael’s memory may be made to the Wilmington Community Fund, P. O. Box 147, Wilmington, MA 01887.
