Lou’s nomination reads:

Lou is not a guy who works 9-5 for Veterans. Service to veterans is in Lou’s blood. His efforts never stop. Veterans and active servicemen and women who find themselves in need of ANY help know they can turn to Lou and he will find them the help they need, at any hour of the day or night. Lou SAVES LIVES by finding addiction recovery facilities and programs for soldiers dealing with PTSD and other challenges. Moreover, Lou is the master-mind and creator of “Local Heroes” the all-volunteer organization that has shipped 1000’s of care packages to active duty troops. No one deserves this honor more than Lou Cimaglia.

If Lou wins, he will receive a dinner for four at Chopps American Bar & Grill; 100,000 Marriott points, and $1,000 from the Boston Marriott Burlington to be donated to a charity of his choice.
