TEWKSBURY, MA — Pina Prinzivalli, Republican candidate for State Representative in the 19th Middlesex District, has announced one of her guest speakers for her Campaign Kickoff Event to be held on Tuesday night (March 20th) at Luna Rossa Ristorante in Tewksbury.
“I’m looking forward to having Representative Geoff Diehl join me to make my campaign official,” said Prinzivalli, who is challenging 82 year old and forty year incumbent James Miceli (D-Wilmington). “Representative Diehl was one of the first elected officials to reach out and offer his support when I announced my candidacy. His record on Beacon Hill of fighting for the taxpayers speaks for itself. And with my running to put the taxpayers first, it’s great support to have at my kickoff event.”
Representative Diehl (R-Whitman), who has served in the legislature since 2010, is giving up his Statehouse seat to run for U.S. Senate against Elizabeth Warren (D-MA).
“We need people like Pina serving on Beacon Hill,” said Diehl who is best known for leading the effort to defeat the automatic gas tax increase in 2014. “Even before getting elected to office, Pina is already looking out for the taxpayers by collecting signatures for a ballot question to lower the sales tax. She’ll be a strong voice that the people of Tewksbury and Wilmington can count on to do what’s right for the taxpayers.”
Since announcing her candidacy, Prinzivalli has pledged to never vote herself a pay raise and will donate any increase in base salary to charity. She has also committed to opposing all tax increases, including Prop 80.
“Beacon Hill doesn’t have a revenue problem, it has a spending problem,” said Prinzivalli. “It’s time to make our future our priority by putting the taxpayers first.”
The kickoff event will be held from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. Luna Rossa Ristorante is located at 1699 Shawsheen Street in Tewksbury. The public is invited with a suggested $50 donation to the Prinzivalli Committee
