TOWN ELECTION UPDATE: Ballot Is Set With Contested Races For Selectmen, School Committee & Town Moderator

WILMINGTON, MA — When Wilmington voters go to the polls next month, they will have some decisions to make.

The Town Clerk’s Office finished certifying nomination papers after Friday’s filing deadline and it’s now official — Wilmington will see contested races for Selectmen, School Committee & Town Moderator

TWO candidates are running for ONE seat on the Wilmington Board of Selectmen:

  • Jonathan Eaton
  • Rob Fasulo

THREE candidates are running for TWO seats on the Wilmington School Committee:

  • MJ Byrnes (incumbent)
  • Jesse Fennelly
  • David Ragsdale

TWO candidates are running for Wilmington Town Moderator:

  • Robert Peterson Jr. (incumbent)
  • Kevin MacDonald

Selectman incumbent Mike Champoux and School Committee incumbent Manny Mulas have chosen not to seek re-election.

Shawsheen Tech School Committee incumbent Jim Gillis and Wilmington Housing Authority incumbent Robert DiPasquale are running for re-election unpposed.

The Annual Town Election will be held on Saturday, April 28.  Polls will be open from 8am to 8pm.

The last day to register to vote for the Town Election is Monday, April 9.
