NORTH ANDOVER, MA — Kayleigh is a first grader at Sargent Elementary School and has been battling Very High Risk Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) since August. Due to her intense treatment, Kayleigh could not have a regular birthday party with all of her friends. In lieu of a 7th birthday party, Kayleigh requested to hold a fundraiser to help kids with cancer, homeless people, and military families.
With her family, Kayleigh decided to host a blood drive for the Kraft Family Blood Donor Center on Sunday, March 11, from 9am to 3pm, at the Sargent Elementary School (300 Abbott Street) in North Andover.
Kayleigh also hopes to raise funds for:
- ONE MISSION: An organization a part of Boston Children’s Hospital that provides comfort, care, and emotional support for children with cancer, and their families.
- OPERATION KID COMFORT: A charity that helps children cope with emotional stress during a parent’s deployment.
- ITEMS FOR THE HOMELESS: Items most needed are gloves, socks, and gift cards that are in $5.00 increments.
Kayleigh is a courageous, compassionate, and loving 7 year old. She has several ties to Wilmington, including family and her dentist office.
Please consider celebrating her birthday by donating blood, which is an integral part of any cancer patients treatment. There are 90 slots available for blood donation. Secure your time to donate blood HERE. She would love it if you could help contribute to the charities of her choice.
