HAMPTON, NH — Louise Y. Drolet, 62, of Hampton, formerly of Dracut and Lowell, Mass., died Sunday, February 25, 2018 at her home with loving family by her side after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born December 23, 1955 in Lowell, a daughter of Gerard Bourassa of Dracut and the late Theresa (Paradis) Bourassa.
Louise graduated from Dracut High School and was employed as a lab technician for Polymer Technologies of Wilmington, Mass., for over twenty years.
She has resided in Hampton for the past 10 years coming from Dracut. Louise was a communicant of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Parish in Hampton and served on the church bereavement committee. She most enjoyed traveling and skiing all over the world and spending time making memories count with her children, grandchildren and friends. She loved her home in Bartlett, N.H., and was best known for her decorating skills and making the holidays warm and magical for her family. Louise will be remembered for her fierce loyalty to those she loved and her overall zest for life.
She shared over 21 years of love with her husband, David P. Drolet of Hampton.
In addition to her husband and father, family members include three children, Donnie Settlemoir and his wife Diana of Georgetown, Mass., Jeremy Settlemoir of Methuen, Mass., her daughter, Tara DePaulis and her fiancé Paul Lessard of North Hampton, two stepsons, Davis Drolet of Dover, Daniel Drolet of Dorchester, Mass., her stepdaughter, Lara Willard and her husband Randy of Dover; eight grandchildren; her two brothers, Gerard Bourassa of Dunedin, Fla., Paul Bourassa and his wife Beverly, her sister, Rose Bastine and her husband Rich all of Dracut, Mass.; nieces and nephews.
SERVICES: Visiting hours will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday, March 2, 2018 at the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Rd., Hampton. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, 289 Lafayette Rd., Hampton. Interment will be private in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford, Mass.
