Fiction Critique Group *RR

Love writing fiction? Whether you are drafting a short story or a novel, joining our Critique Group is a great opportunity to meet other writers and get constructive feedback in a supportive environment. When registering, please provide your email address so you can receive an agenda and any prep materials before the meeting. Open to all experience levels writing in all genres. Led by local writing enthusiast, Barbara Alevras.

Suzanne Crooker, who has worked in the vegetable department at Mahoney’s in Winchester for several years and has taught vegetable gardening classes there, will tell you all you need to know to start and sustain a vegetable garden. Topics include soil conditioning, planting and harvesting schedule, fertilizing techniques, and insect and disease identification and controls. There is no time like now to prepare for the growing season.

Tax Tips *RR

Wilmington resident and tax consultant Joe DiJulia will remind taxpayers of certain federal and Massachusetts tax breaks and deductions available for qualifying expenses in the 2017 tax year. Roth IRAs, traditional IRAs, 401Ks, tuition and fees deductions, American Opportunity credit, Lifetime Learning Credit, new 529 Plan contributions deduction and more will be reviewed.

ACT Practice Test *RR
Saturday, March 3, 12:30-5 pm
Take the 3 hour and 40 minute test for free! Practice the endurance and skill needed to score high on the ACT, and get a personalized score report that shows your strengths and weaknesses. Grades 9-12
