WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington High School’s Lamplighters’ Drama Guild is ready to entertain you!
They will be performing “Radium Girls” at the Massachusetts Educational Theatre Guild (METG) Festival and they invite you to come and see their show before they take it to competition!
Join us on Thursday, March 1st at 7pm in the Wilmington High School Auditorium. Ticket cost is $5.00. Tickets are sold at the door only and seating is general admission. The performance will be followed by a talkback with the director, actors, and crew and the audience is encouraged to ask questions.
Synopsis: In 1926, radium was a miracle cure, Madame Curie an international celebrity, and luminous watches the latest rage—until the girls who painted them began to fall ill with a mysterious disease. Inspired by a true story, Radium Girls traces the efforts of Grace Fryer, a dial painter, as she fights for her day in court.
