WILMINGTON, MA — Below is a round-up of what’s going on in Wilmington on Sunday, February 18, 2018:
Weather: Snow likely, mainly before 7am. Cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 42. Light northwest wind increasing to 5 to 10 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of around an inch possible.
In The Community: The Commerford Fun Fair returns to the Shriners Auditorium (99 Fordham Road) during February vacation. The Fair will be open on Saturday, February 17 (10am-7pm); Sunday, February 18 (10am-6pm); and Monday, February 19 (10am-6pm). The fair promises a “fun, friendly, and safe place to bring your family, with rides, games and a unique chance to interact with exotic animals.” Attractions include petting zoos, animal rides, kiddie rides, games, face painting, and souvenirs. Children 12 and under are free with a coupon. (One free child per paying adult.) Coupons are available at local businesses and at the front box office during the event. Otherwise, admission costs $16 at the door. Please note that rides and other vendors inside cost EXTRA (e.g., animal rides cost 5 tickets, kiddie rides cost 2 tickets, tickets cost $1.50 each, with discounted tickets by purchasing “value packs.”)
