Happening Today:
Weather: A chance of showers, mainly after 3pm. Patchy fog before 2pm. Otherwise, cloudy, with a high near 51. Calm wind becoming south 5 to 9 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
In The Community: The Wilmington-Tewksbury United Methodist Woman’s Club will hold a Chocolate Festival at 2pm at the Wilmington United Methodist Church (87 Church Street). Come sample over 12 different chocolate treats, prepared by UMW members. The event will also include a silent auction and other surprises. Tickets cost $10 for adults and $5 for children (under 12). Tickets are available at the door. This family-friendly fundraiser event will benefit the Wilmington-Tewksbury United Methodist Woman’s (WTUMW) Outreach and Missions’ efforts.
In The Community: KevMarv Productions is bringing “The Ten Buck Bike Show,” featuring a $10 admission and free parking, back to the Shriners Auditorium in Wilmington (99 Fordham Road) on Saturday, February 10, 2018, 10am-5pm, and Sunday, February 11, 2018, 10am-5pm. In The Community: 6th, 7th and 8th grade students living in Wilmington are invited to join the Wilmington Youth Center and enjoy being part of a community that offers a safe place to hang out with your friends and have fun! The Wilmington Youth Center, located inside Villanova Hall (126 Middlesex Avenue), will be open every Saturday night, from 7pm to 9:30pm, from November 25, 2017 to March 17, 2018. Registration costs $40 per child or $80 per family. Registrations will be accepted on Saturday nights during the season. Learn more HERE.
In The Community: The Friends of the Wilmington Memorial Library’s Book Store Next Door (183 Middlesex Avenue) is open from 10am to 4pm. All books are $2 or less! Every penny of every sale benefits the Wilmington Memorial Library.

Go Wildcats!: The WHS Varsity Boys Hockey team battles Wakefield at 2pm at the Ristuccia Arena (190 Main Street) this Saturday, February 10 at 2pm. The Wildcats will be honoring local military servicemen and servicewomen, plus their families, at the game. The team will be collecting monetary donations and supply donations for the Wilmington-based Local Heroes. Proceeds from a 50/50 raffle will be donated to the organization. Any Wilmington Youth Hockey player who wears their jersey to the game will be admitted for free.
