The Wilmington Insider For February 2, 2018

WILMINGTON, MA — Below is a round-up of what’s going on in Wilmington on Friday, February 2, 2018:

Happening Today:

Weather: A chance of snow before 9am. Cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing, with a temperature falling to around 21 by 5pm. Northwest wind 7 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

In The Community: The Wilmington Band Parents and the Wilmington Sons of Italy are hosting a Comedy Night at the Tewksbury/Wilmington Elks (777 South Street, Tewksbury).  Doors open at 8pm.  The show starts at 9pm. The Comedy Night will feature headliner Orlando Baxter, along with Justin McKinney and Chris D. Doors. The evening also includes a silent auction, raffle table and cash bar. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own munchies. Tickets cost $20 per person. Call Kevin at 978-657-7734 to reserve yours today as a sellout is expected. Proceeds will benefit the scholarship funds for both organizations.

In The Community: Elia’s Country Store (381 Middlesex Avenue) is holding a Wine Tasting from 4pm to 7pm. 19 Crimes Wines will be sampled.

At Town Hall: Today is the DEADLINE to submit petitioned warrant articles for inclusion on the 2018 Annual Town Meeting warrant.

At The Library: Needleworkers meet at 10am. Drop-In Preschool Storytime at 10am. Family Fort Night at 6:30pm. [Learn more HERE.]

At The Senior Center: Video Exercise at 10am. Special Exercise at 11am. Bingo at 1pm. Cards at 1pm. Wear your Patriots gear to win prizes! [Learn more HERE.]

Go Wildcats!: The Wildcats online schedule is currently DOWN.

Live Music: Pacific Grove (211 Lowell Street) is hosting karaoke with Winnell Entertainment beginning at 8pm.
