Happening Today:

Weather: A slight chance of snow showers before 10am, then a slight chance of rain showers after 5pm. Cloudy, with a high near 41. Southwest wind 7 to 9 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

In The Community: The Wilmington Substance Abuse Coalition is holding a Community Forum on Addiction and the Adolescent Mind with Dr. Ruth Potee from 7pm to 8:30pm at St. Thomas (126 Middlesex Avenue). Potee, an expert in brain development and teen risk-taking, has received national recognition for her work with addiction and substance abuse disorders.  She will discus the physiology of addiction, adolescent brain development, and alcohol use disorder and treatment. In The Community: The Nicholas Scott Salon (333 Burlington Avenue) is holding its Ribbon Cutting Ceremony with the Wilmington-Tewksbury Chamber of Commerce at 11:15am.

In The Community: Do you like to sing? Do you enjoy performing? Come join the Merrimack Valley Chorus at one of its regular weekly rehearsals. You just might discover a passion for a cappella singing, and you’ll also make some great new friends! Open rehearsals are every Thursday at 7pm at the Wilmington Arts Center (219 Middlesex Avenue).

At Town Hall: The Wilmington Recreation Commission meets at 5pm in Town Hall’s Room 9.
