POLICE LOG for January 7: Vacant Sonic Building Suffers Significant Water Damage; Snow Causing Havoc On The Roads

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Sunday, January 7, 2018:

  • A Benson Road homeowner reported no water. Police notified Water Department. (7:40am)
  • Fire Department responded to a burst pipe in the vacant Sonic building. 6-8 inches of water was reported in the building. Police notified property owner and Water Department. Mass Highway notified about water/ice in roadway. (8:08am)
  • Police notified DPW that the Presidential Drive street sign needs replacing. (10:19am)
  • Police notified DPW that the snowbanks on Adams Street, between Middlesex Avenue and Church Street, need to be widened. (12:22pm)
  • Police notified Fire Department that fire hydrants along Fordham Road are blocked by snow. (1:36pm)
  • A black 2005 Toyota Camry crashed into a snowbank on Glen Road. Forrest Towing was able to get the vehicle out without any damage. (5:47pm)
  • Police notified DPW that it located the sign for the Miceli bridge at Burlington Avenue and Main Street in the snow. (7:47pm)
