WILMINGTON, MA — Here are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Monday, January 1, 2018:
- A Kiernan Avenue resident reported frozen pipes and requested water to house be shut off. Police notified Water Department. (1:17pm)
- A Grove Avenue resident reported a pipe has burst underneath her home and is flooding. Police notified Water Department. (3:55pm)
- A caller reported 2 vehicles towards the back of Wildwood Cemetery. Police responded. Operators were playing Pokemon Go. Police advised them to play elsewhere. (7:33pm)
- Police received three calls concerning a barking dog left outside in single digit temperatures for at least two hours. Police responded, but homeowners weren’t home. Homeowners eventually returned and brought dog inside. (8:27pm)
- Police noted a suspicious vehicle circling around Adelaide Street several times. Operator was playing Pokemon Go. Police sent him on his way. (10:59pm)
- Wilmington Shell employee reported a patron attempted to pay with a counterfeit $100 bill. (11:07pm)
- A walk-in reported a hit and run in front of Metro At Wilmington Station. Black sedan should have front end and drivers side swipe damage. Police were unable to locate vehicle. Wilmington Police contacted Burlington Police. (11:22pm)
