WILMINGTON, MA — Below is a list of FREE upcoming programs for adults, teens and kids at the Wilmington Memorial Library.

Registration begins 30 days prior to the event. Please register online using our Calendar of Events at www.wilmlibrary.org or by calling (978) 694-2099 (for Adult) or (978) 694-2098 (for Children/Teen). Adult Events

Networking and Volunteering *RR
Monday, January 8, 10 am
There is a way to improve your job prospects and keep your skills sharp at the same time—volunteering. Non-profits need your professional skills to help them run the “business” side of their enterprise.  In turn, you can give back to the community, meet new people, and build relationships while keeping current.  Presenter Jack Wang is the former Program Site Director for Jericho Road Project of Greater Lowell and a financial planner.

Tranquil Tuesdays *RR
Tuesday, January 9, 9:15 am
Always wanted to start a meditation practice but don’t know how to start? Technology Librarian Brad McKenna, a meditator for over 15 years, will lead you through silent and guided meditations, share his personal experiences, and tips for success. Sessions will be 30 minutes. Join us for one, some, or all!

Mandalas for Well-Being  *RR
Tuesday, January 9, 7 pm
This Mandala workshop will provide the opportunity to explore the notions of mindfulness and art making as daily practices that can foster a sense of well-being. Guided by the universal symbol of the Mandala, we will experiment with diverse art materials and techniques with the aim to identify which creative modality resonates best with you! Led by trained art therapist Liza Fernanda Lopez.

Declutter for Good Health*RR

“I know it’s here somewhere!” How many times have you heard yourself utter these words when looking for your keys, wallet, phone, etc.? In this one-hour workshop, professional organizer Nancy Patsios will share tips on decluttering your home or office to enhance good health. Nancy Patsios is the owner of everyday ORGANiZiNG which was established in 2012.

Join Bryson Lang for a family-friendly show that mixes comedy, audience participation, ball spinning, flying sombreros, ball bouncing, fire juggling, huge spinning and bouncing rings, giant beach balls, improv, glow-in-the-dark objects and always a few surprises! Ages 3+

Art Adventures: Picasso Self Portraits *RR

Create your own masterpiece in the style of three celebrated artists and illustrators. We’ll explore different forms of media and techniques to make one of a kind artwork for you to take home.  Grades 1-5

Drop in to help create this magazine written by, for, and about kids and published by the library.  Bring in finished, original artwork, puzzles, poems, comics, and jokes or create it while you are here. Grades 3-6

MAKE A SCENE!: An Actor’s Workshop *RR

Nobody hands you a script for life—you have to improvise your way through it! In this 3-part acting series, we will explore the fine art of improvisation, imagination, comedy and self-expression with adventurous acting challenges. Grades 6 -12.

Drop-In Storytime

Drop in for stories, songs, rhymes and a fun craft!  Space is limited. Tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.  Ages 2-5 and one or more adults
