RCB Promotes Alok Gupta to Mortgage Loan Originator

READING, MA — Reading Cooperative Bank (RCB) has promoted Alok Gupta over to the Residential Lending Department as a Mortgage Loan Originator. Gupta was previously a Banking Specialist, having been with RCB for over two years. Before coming to RCB, Gupta worked as a Loan Officer at a wholesale mortgage broker He also spent time as a Client Manager and Loan Specialist at Bank of America. He has 15 years of experience in the banking industry and holds a BE degree with a concentration in Electronics. Gupta was born and raised in India. Outside of the company, Gupta’s hobbies include reading, palmistry and exercise.

RCB Announces Promotion of Danny Walbourne to Assistant Vice President

READING, MA — Reading Cooperative Bank has promoted Danny Walbourne to Assistant Vice President. Walbourne manages the Bank’s Burlington Branch located at 10 Wall Street. As Assistant Vice President and Branch Manager, he will continue to oversee the day to day activities of the branch, while remaining an integral community partner in town. Walbourne has also been instrumental in helping to develop the Bank’s presence in the communities of Burlington and Woburn.

RCB Promotes Arfaat Ali to Banking Specialist II

READING, MA — Reading Cooperative Bank (RCB) has promoted Arfaat Ali to Banking Specialist II. The Banking Specialist II is required to be fully knowledgeable and skilled in the areas of teller, vault, safe deposit, processing, and discussing/referring credit applications. In this new role, Ali will be responsible for performing all duties and support related to branch operational activities, sales and service. He will process all new account transactions, assist customers in their selection of various accounts and financial services, cross-sell the Bank’s products and services, and open, maintain and close all account types, including business and trust accounts. Ali will also provide training and support to less experienced Banking Specialists and other staff members. Ali works at RCB’s North Reading branch, which is managed by Mike Walbourne, Assistant Vice President.

“Arfaat is very meticulous and thorough with our branch operations,” said Mike Walbourne. “He’s done an outstanding job promoting business for the Bank and maintaining good customer relations.”
