WILMINGTON, MA — Wilmington 13-year-old Meghan Tompkins was awarded $5,000 from Cops For Kids with Cancer at a ceremony at the Wilmington Public Safety Building on Monday afternoon.

Tompkins was diagnosed with Undifferentiated Embryonic Sarcoma of the Liver and recently completed her treatments.

In addition to the donation from Cops For Kids with Cancer, Wilmington Police Chief Michael Begonis presented Tompkins with a signed Dustin Pedroia baseball bat and four tickets to an upcoming Red Sox game.
