PHOTO: iPods for Wounded Veterans Receives $4,000 Donation From Billerica’s Playoffs Sports Bar

BILLERICA, MA — The Wilmington-based iPods for Wounded Veterans held a fundraiser at Playoffs Sports Bar (512 Middlesex Turnpike, Billerica) on Saturday, November 4, from 1pm to 7pm.

The event, which included an auction and buffet meal, raised $4,055.

“Thank you for another successful event at Playoffs Sports of Billerica,” said IWV Chairman and Founder Paul Cardello. “Paul Looney and his staff did an excellent job hosting the event and raised $4000.”

About iPods for Wounded Veterans

iPods for Wounded Veterans was founded in 2011 and has made more than 20 trips from Boston to the Walter Reed Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland and The Traumatic Brain Injury Unit at Fort Belvoir Community Hospital at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. The all-volunteer 501(c)(3) organization has also visited Veterans’ hospitals in Tampa and Orlando, Florida and Richmond and Petersburg, Virginia. They’ve distributed thousands of electronics, including iPods, iPads, Bose headphones, Skull Candy earbuds and numerous iTunes gift cards and magazines. 100% of the donations made to iPods for Wounded Veterans are channeled directly to our wounded heroes.
