WILMINGTON, MA — Below is a round-up of what’s going on in Wilmington on Sunday, December 10, 2017:
Weather: A chance of snow showers, mainly before 7am. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 39. West wind 7 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Traffic Advisory: Butters Row Bridge will be closed through December 13. The MassDOT are repairing damaged bridge timber deck planks and timber stringers. Work will take place daily from 7am to 7pm. Detour routes are posted HERE.
In The Community: Lucky Pro Wrestling will join with West Real Estate for a “Toys for Tots” Drive from 10:30am to 12:30pm at The West Real Estate office (386 Main Street). Wrestlers scheduled to appear include LPW Champion “Selfie Made Man” Vern Vicallo, Impact Wrestling Knockout Alisha Edwards, LPW Hard-Knox Champion Brick Mastone, LPW Women’s Champion Adira, Anthony Stone, Isana, and Christopher James, with more names to be announced. With the donation of a new unwrapped toy, or a donation of $5, fans can get a photo and autograph from pro wrestlers. All donations will be collected for the Toys for Tots of Massachusetts to assist the less fortunate this holiday season.
In The Community: The Wilmington High School basketball programs organized a fundraiser at the Chipotle in Woburn (112 Commerce Way) from 5pm to 9pm. 50% of each sale will be donated to the team. Just bring this flyer or show it on your phone.
In The Community: The Wilmington United Methodist Church (87 Church Street) is holding an Alternative Gift Fair from 8:45am to 12:30pm in the church’s Conference Room.
Create a new gift-giving tradition, while prioritizing meaning over materials and filling a need for a person or community.
