The Wilmington Insider For December 8, 2017

WILMINGTON, MA — Below is a round-up of what’s going on in Wilmington on Friday, December 8, 2017:

Happening Today:

Weather: Increasing clouds, with a high near 38. Southwest wind around 6 mph becoming calm in the afternoon.

Traffic Advisory: Butters Row Bridge will be closed through at least December 13. The MassDOT are repairing damaged bridge timber deck planks and timber stringers. Work will take place daily from 7am to 7pm. Detour routes are posted HERE.

In The Community: Enjoy a family night out to benefit Toys for Tots from 5:30pm to 9:30pm at the Wilmington Knights of Columbus Hall (112 Middlesex Avenue). Shop multiple vendors of clothing, bags, holiday decorating, makeup and more, all while sipping on a cocktail from the cash bar. Bring the kids and your camera for a visit with Santa from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. The event will also feature a raffle table and a craft area for kids.  Attendees are encouraged to bring an unwrapped and unopened toy for Toys for Tots.

At The Library: Drop-In Preschool Storytime at 10am. After Hours: The Little Black Dress at 7pm. [Learn more and register HERE.]

At The Senior Center: Video Exercise at 10am. Special Exercise at 11am. Bingo at 1pm. Cards at 1pm. [Learn more HERE.]
