In The News:

Happening Today:

Weather: Showers likely, mainly after 5pm. Patchy fog after 11am. Otherwise, cloudy, with a high near 52. Southeast wind 6 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Traffic Advisory: Woburn Street will be closed at the intersection of Lowell Street and Woburn Street from 8:30am to 5:30pm due to a sewer line project. … Butters Row Bridge will be closed through at least December 13. The MassDOT are repairing damaged bridge timber deck planks and timber stringers. Work will take place daily from 7am to 7pm. Detour routes are posted HERE.

Municipal Meeting: The Wilmington Board of Health meets at 5:30pm in Room 9 of Town Hall. Read the agenda HERE.  The Board will be holding a public hearing regarding proposed amendments to the town’s health regulations regarding marijuana.

Municipal Meeting: The Wilmington Planning Board meets at 7:30pm in Room 9 of Town Hall. Read the agenda HERE.

In The Community: The Wilmington Boosters Association is holding a Fundraiser Night at Flatbread Pizza Company (213 Burlington Road, Bedford) from 5pm to 9pm. A portion of every pizza sale will be donated to the Boosters.  The donation applies to both dine-on AND take-out orders.  No coupons, discounts or promotions are accepted during the fundraiser. No flyer is required.

In The Community: The Tewksbury/Wilmington Elks holds bingo — open to the public — every Tuesday at 6:45pm. Doors open at 5pm. Pizza, hot dog and pastries are sold. Free coffee.

In The Community: Angels In Motion meets every Tuesday, from 9:30am to 2:30pm, at the Wilmington Knights of Columbus Hall (112 Middlesex Avenue).  The club provides a great opportunity for seniors to meet new friends or reacquaint with old ones. A luncheon is served as noon.  Free. Handicapped accessible.

Live Music: Larry Gilbert performs at Rocco’s Restaurant & Bar (193 Main Street) beginning at 6pm.

At The Library: Teen Trivia Night at 6:30pm. Friends of the Library Board Meeting at 7pm. [Learn more and register HERE.]

At The Senior Center: Zumba at 9am. Computer Class at 9:30am. Aerobics at 10:30am. Will Bowling at 12:30pm. Better Business Bureau program at 1pm. Mahjong at 1pm. Yoga at 2:30pm.  [Learn more HERE.]

At The Town Museum: The Town Museum (430 Salem Street) is open today from 10am to 2pm.

At Wilmington Public Schools: The 6th and 7th Grade Chorus will hold their winter concert at 7pm at Wilmington High.

At Shawsheen Tech: The Shawsheen Tech PAC meets at 7pm in the School Committee Room.
