VIDEO: 4 Wilmington High Fall Sports Teams Earn Community Service Awards From MIAA

WILMINGTON, MA — On Thursday, the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) honored four Wilmington High School Fall Sports teams with its Educational Athletics Achievement Award for Community Service.

The Boys Soccer Team and Girls Soccer team were recognized for their Kick Cancer games to raise funds for the Hope & Friendship Foundation.  The Volleyball Team was honored for its Dig Pink game to raise funds for the Side-Out Foundation.  The Cheerleading program was recognized for its participation in the Fun on the Fourth Family Day and Police Department’s National Night, a clothing drive for Hurricane Harvey victims and a flashlight drive for Hurricane Irma victims, and making a donation to Smith Strong.
