POLICE LOG for November 11: Business’s Sprinklers Lead To Icy Conditions (Yeah, It Was A Quiet Day)

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are SIX highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Saturday, November 11, 2017:

  • A caller reported a vehicle possibly spun out into the median on Ballardvale Street. Vehicle appeared to have a flat time. Vehicle was gone by the time police arrived. (6:56am)
  • Police reported a lot of ice on the ground in the area of 100-200 Research Drive. Police notified Water Department of possible leak. Water Department checked and reported the complex still has its sprinklers on. Police was able to contact the owners, who will send an employee in to shut down sprinklers. (7:15am)
  • Police participated in the Veterans Day Ceremony on the Town Common. (10:36am)
  • Police replaced the barrier to block the bridge after it was removed and slightly damaged. (12:30pm)
  • Police responded a minor 2-car crash on Middlesex Avenue. One of the car’s plates were shown as stolen, but police realized it was a registry error. Operator was referred to the RMV to have error fixed. (3:18pm)
  • The green light was out and a traffic light was facing the wrong direction at Woburn Street and Concord Street. Police notified Public Buildings. (7:26pm)
