Wilmington Woman Killed In Tewksbury Crash

TEWKSBURY, MA — On Sunday, November 12, 2017, at approximately 3:45 am, Tewksbury Police Officers responded to the area of East Street by Maple Street for a report of a motor vehicle accident involving a single vehicle.

Upon arrival, officers located a 2006 silver Buick sedan which apparently left the roadway (East Street) and struck a tree on the driver’s side of the vehicle. The vehicle was being operated by a 27 year old female out of Wilmington, MA who was the lone occupant in the vehicle.

The young female suffered significant trauma and did not survive the impact. The accident remains under investigation and the Tewksbury Police Department is working with the State Police Collision Analysis & Reconstruction Section (C.A.R.S.), the State Police Detective Unit, the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, and the Medical Examiner’s Office. This is a terrible tragedy and our thoughts and prayers are with this young woman and her family.
