TEWKSBURY, MA — Pina Prinzivalli, a Republican from Tewksbury, has announced her candidacy for State Representative in the 19th Middlesex District, with the launch of her first campaign video on her website: http://www.PinaForYou.com.
“The most important thing to know about me is that I’m not a career politician,” said Prinzivalli, a 33 year old professional who works as a branch manager at a local bank. “Career politicians have hurt Massachusetts for far too long. Whether it’s giving themselves pay raises or forcing taxpayers to pay for sanctuary cities, it’s time for someone to fight for our values and our future.”
With a campaign pledge to put the taxpayers first, Prinzivalli is already working hard to protect the taxpayers by collecting signatures for two different issues.
“Even before formally announcing my run, I’ve been collecting signatures to reduce the sales tax back to 5%,” said Prinzivalli about the ballot question that will also establish a permanent sales tax holiday weekend. “Our district is so close to the New Hampshire border and we’ve gone two years in a row without a sales tax free weekend. We need to be able to compete. But our elected officials on Beacon Hill said we don’t have the money for it. Yet, the same elected officials voted themselves $18,000,000 worth of pay raises this year. They chose themselves over the taxpayers. That’s wrong.”
Prinzivalli is also collecting signatures to start the process that will create an amendment to the Commonwealth’s Constitution that says taxpayers are not required to fund abortions.
“The taxpayers deserve the right to have a say on how their tax dollars are being spent,” said Prinzivalli. “Especially on an issue that’s as controversial as abortion.”
Prinzivalli will host a campaign kickoff event in early 2018.
