OBITUARY: Christopher D. Lane, 38

WILMINGTON, MA — Christopher D. Lane, age 38, of Somerville, formerly a long-time resident of Andover, passed away unexpectedly on October 22nd, 2017. Born in Stoneham, MA, on August 5, 1979, Christopher was the beloved son of Marilyn and Charles Lane.

Chris was raised and educated in Andover and was a graduate of Andover High School with the Class of 1998. Chris loved sports and played basketball throughout his life; he was also an AVID Patriots and Red Sox fan throughout his life and a faithful season ticket holder.

Following high school, Christopher furthered his education at University of Massachusetts Lowell Campus in Lowell where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business and then he went on to receive his CPA license. Chris worked as a CPA for the Liberty Mutual Insurance Company for many years.

Chris was a happy go lucky person who enjoyed hanging out with family and friends; making sure that everyone always had a good time. Chris had a special fondness for animals and would spend time at animal rescue facilities. He was also very passionate about children’s causes such as Special Olympics; he had such a big heart when it came to kids.

Chris will be fondly remembered for his expertise at putting together difficult puzzles or master leggo sets. Chris was a very kind and gentle person who loved his family and friends unconditionally; he will forever be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Christopher was the cherished son of Marilyn (Boudreau) Lane of Salem, NH, formerly of Wilmington, MA and Andover, MA and Charles “Chuck” Lane of Andover, MA. He was the beloved brother of Jennifer Karman & her husband Jozsef of Foxboro, MA and Thomas Lane Moon of Andover, MA. Chris was the loving Uncle of Jacob & Jonas Karman. He was the dear nephew of Anne Lane of Medford, MA, Fran Lusardi of Weare, NH, Beverly Smith of Salem, NH, Lorraine Hallisey of Dennis, MA, Virginia & Thomas Mirisola of Yarmouth, MA, Cynthia Boudreau of Granby, CT, the late Raymond Boudreau, Joseph Boudreau and Russell Smith. Chris is also survived by many cousins and friends.

Family and friends will gather at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, on Thursday, October 26th at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 126 Middlesex Ave., Wilmington at 11:00 a.m. Interment Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington. Visiting Hours will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 25th from 4:00-8:00 p.m.
