POLICE LOG for October 17: Suspected Drunk Driver; Accident In High School Lot; Injured Pigeon

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are SIX highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Tuesday, October 17, 2017:

  • Police conducted community policing in the Hathaway Road area due to recent car break-ins. (1:37am)
  • Police received an anonymous report that someone was hunting in the Ballardvale Street area.  Police located vehicle in question, but was unable to locate owner. (10:18am)
  • A walk-in party reported she will be conducting a door-to-door survey in town on behalf of Harvard University. (12:26pm)
  • A caller reported an injured pigeon in the roadway on Nichols Street. Police notified the Animal Control Officer. (1:04pm)
  • A caller reported that a man came into the Colonial Mall Liquor Store and was possibly intoxicated. He then entered a red Toyota. Police were unable to locate. (6:00pm)
  • A caller stated his vehicle was hit in the High School parking lot about 20 minutes ago.  Police was able to locate the other party, brought them back to the lot, and issued them a citation for leaving the scene of property damage. (8:20pm)
