- The Wilmington Town Crier recently spotlighted Two Men And A Truck’s “Movers for Military” campaign. The Wilmington company is collecting t-shirts, leggings, underwear, bathroom towels, twin sheets, toilet paper, paper towels, pillows, body wash, q-tips, and detergent for the New England Center and Home for Veterans in Boston. Donation drop-off locations around town include Woburn Street School, Wilmington Orthodontics, The Crafting Closet, InLine Mechanical, and the Wilmington-Tewksbury Chamber of Commerce.

- Weather: Partly sunny, with a temperature falling to around 55 by 5pm. Northwest wind 10 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
- In The Community: Are you new to Wilmington or have you lived here for a while and wish to know more about the community? Then please come to the Welcome to Wilmington Reception, sponsored by the Wilmington-Tewksbury Chamber of Commerce and the Wilmington Memorial Library. Representatives from Town Departments, community groups, and local businesses will be on hand to welcome you and answer questions from 6pm to 8pm at the Wilmington Memorial Library.
- In The Community (Part 2): A fundraiser for Wilmington native Jillian Little will take at the Thomson Country Club (2 Mid Iron Drive, North Reading) today. A golf tournament begins at 11:30am. Teams of 4 are welcomed at $150 per person.A BBQ, Raffle, and Auction begin at 5pm. $1 per raffle ticket or $10 for 15 tickets. Funds will support Jillian’s recovery. 19-year-old Jill suffered a massive stroke on August 1. She remains partially paralyzed and unable to speak. She will need a considerable amount of care, rehab and medical equipment moving forward. Learn more HERE. - On WCTV: Watch last week’s pretty quick Wilmington Board of Appeals Meeting HERE. The highlight involved the Committee voting 4-0 to grant a special permit in accordance with the Ground Water Protection District for property located at 319A Andover Street.
