WILMINGTON, MA — The Town of Wilmington is accepting sealed bids for the following surplus vehicles and equipment:
Sealed bids must be submitted to the Town Manager (121 Glen Road, Wilmington, MA 01887) by October 19, 2017 at 10:00 AM, where and when they will be publicly opened. All bids must be clearly marked on the outside of the envelope with “Town of Wilmington 2017 Surplus Vehicles & Equipment Sale” and inside must contain the item number for which each bid is placed, the amount of the bid and the name and address of the bidder.
Bid documents can be found HERE. All bidders must execute a certificate of non-collusion which is provided as part of the bid documents.
All items are available for inspection Monday through Friday during the hours of 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM at the Public Works Building (135 Andover Street). All items are sold “AS IS” without warranties of any kind, and fitness for a particular purpose, and most are in need of some repairs. The condition listed for each item is a general estimate only.
The surplus supplies will be awarded to the responsive bidder offering the highest price for the items described in the invitation for bids. The Town of Wilmington reserves the right to reject any and all bids and dispose of the vehicle through a negotiated sale, provided that the negotiated sale price is higher than the highest bid received from a responsive bidder.
Successful bidders are expected to render payment made by cash or bank check payable to the Town of Wilmington, in full and collect their purchases within five (5) days of notification of bid acceptance. Items not claimed within five (5) days will be offered to the second highest bidder.
