12 Things You Need To Know In Wilmington Today (September 19, 2017)

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are TWELVE things you need to know in Wilmington for Tuesday, September 19, 2017.

#1) According to the National Weather Service, Wilmington will see a chance of showers before 9am, then rain, mainly after 9am. Patchy dense fog before 8am, then patchy dense fog after 9am. High near 68. Northeast wind 5 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

#2) The Wilmington Board of Health meets at 5:30pm at Wilmington Town Hall in Room 9. Read the agenda HERE.

#3) The Wilmington Board of Library Trustees meets at 7pm at the Wilmington Memorial Library in the Banda Room. Read the agenda HERE.

#4) The Red Cross is holding a Blood Drive from 2pm to 7pm at Wilmington Masonic Lodge (32 Church Street). Learn more HERE.

#6) The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding THREE programs today:

  • Storytime for Threes (9:30am-10am)

  • 9am — Walking Group
  • 9am — Zumba
  • 10:30am — Aerobics
  • 12:30pm — Wii Bowling

#10) The Tewksbury/Wilmington Elks (777 South Street, Tewksbury) holds bingo — open to the public — every Tuesday at 6:45pm. Doors open at 5pm. Pizza, hot dog and pastries are sold. Free coffee.

#11) Angels In Motion meets every Tuesday, from 9:30am to 2:30pm, at the Wilmington Knights of Columbus Hall (112 Middlesex Avenue).  The club provides a great opportunity for seniors to meet new friends or reacquaint with old ones.  Spend the day playing cards, board games, or just chatting with folks!  A luncheon is served as noon.  There are NO fees. The KofC Hall is handicap accessible.

#12) Red Heat Tavern (300 Lowell Street) is holding its weekly bar trivia (pub quiz) with Geeks Who Drink from 7pm to 9pm. Learn more HERE.
