POLICE LOG for September 12: License Plate Stolen; Boy’s Bike Run Over; Packages Taken

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are SEVEN highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Tuesday, September 12, 2017:

  • Police followed two school buses to the high school to enforce any traffic violations. None occurred. (6:48am)
  • A Garden Avenue caller reported trash is being dumped in his yard. Trash was being dumped by a neighbor. Land trash was being dumped on was actually town-owned land. Neighbor removed the trash. (11:09am)
  • Enterprise Rent-A-Car on Main Street reported a stolen license plate. (12:52pm)
  • A Wildwood Street caller reported at least 4 packages delivered to his property around September 5 had been taken. (1:09pm)
  • Police issued 8 parking citations in the MBTA parking lot on Main Street. (1:10pm)
  • John Spellman (30, Woburn) was issued a summons for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended or revoked license and failure to drive in the right lane. Police stopped Spellman after a caller reported he was passing vehicles in the same lane on his motorcycle down Main Street. (4:12pm)
  • A caller reported she was pulling out of her driveway on Glen Road when a 12-year-old boy on his bicycle skipped out. Her vehicle ended up running over the bicycle.  Boy proceeded to pick up the bicycle, stated he was OK, and continued riding the bike on Glen Road toward Main Street.  Caller wanted the incident logged. Police were unable to locate the boy, but followed up with the caller. (5:54pm)
