WILMINGTON, MA — On Saturday, October 14, 2017, Wilmington High School will administer the PSAT exam to sophomores and juniors.
The PSAT is a practice exam that allows students to prepare for the SAT exam. Students will receive a detailed score report in December.
All WHS juniors are strongly encouraged to take this exam as they should be taking the SAT exam in Spring 2018; in addition, juniors can be considered for the prestigious National Merit Scholarship, based on performance on the exam. Sophomores who have taken honors-level courses in English and math are also encouraged to take the exam.
All students interested in taking the exam must register by September 20th with Mrs. Murray in the Guidance Office. No late registrations will be accepted.
There is a fee for all test takers. The exam fee is $35. Payment can be made in cash or a check made out to Wilmington High School.
At registration, students will receive information regarding pre-administration and other related testing information.
On test day, students are expected to arrive at WHS (via the Event Entrance) between 7:30am to 7:45pm. Testing is expected to be completed between 11:20am and 11:30am.
Any questions about the PSAT exam should be directed to the student’s Guidance Counselor.
