The Wilmington Rotary Club would like to thank everyone who joined us on Saturday and “took the Challenge” at our third Community Ice Bucket Challenge. All monies raised will go directly towards research to find a cure for A.L.S.
Among those volunteers who helped make the day a success were members of the WHS Interact Club, WCTV, Jim Buckley, Kaleigh Bernardo, Brody Cazzi, Nolan Ryan, members of the Rotary Club, and a special thank you to Athletic Director Tim Albert, for his organizing of all the fall WHS sports teams.
Among our corporate sponsors were the Aleppo Shrine, Wilmington Town Crier, Reading Cooperative Bank, All Floorz, K and E Engineering, and Ceramident.
All of the funds collected will be donated to the Angel Fund to be directed towards finding a cure for A.L.S. commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. To date, we have raised almost $13,000, but if you we’re able to join us, donations can still be mailed to the Wilmington Rotary Club, PO Box 503, Wilmington, MA 01887. Please indicated ALS on your check.
Thank you again to all those who “took a bucket’ to help find a cure.
