5 Things You Need To Know In Wilmington Today (August 27, 2017)

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are FIVE things you need to know in Wilmington for Sunday, August 27, 2017.

#1) According to the National Weather Service, it will be mostly sunny in Wilmington, with a high near 76. North wind 5 to 7 mph.

#2) Brady’s Foundation is holding its First Annual 5K Run For Recovery, Walk For Wellness at the Wilmington Town Common.  Check-in and registration begins at 9am. Kids races are from 9:30am to 10:15am. The 5K begins at 10:30am, followed by post celebration with family-friendly activities, DJ enterainment, food and beverages, raffles and more. Learn more HERE.

#3) Wilmington Community Television will be hold its Annual Family Fun Day from 11am to 2pm at the Yentile Farm Recreational Facility. WCTV will be showing off their equipment, serving popcorn and snacks, and showcasing local dance troupes and martial arts studios with various demonstrations planned. This free event will also include face-painting, balloon animals, and music. Residents are encouraged to stop on by and learn what Wilmington Community Television has to offer. #4) The Wilmington Farmers Market is open from 10am to 1pm on the Swain Green, across from the Town Common.  The lineup can be found HERE.

#5) There are THREE yard sales in Wilmington today. Learn more HERE.

PLUS: The Middlesex Canal Museum and Visitors’ Center (71 Faulkner Street, North Billerica) is open from noon to 4pm.  Learn about the canal, which travels through Wilmington.
