POLICE LOG for August 18: Door-To-Door Solicitors Advised To Cease & Desist; Lost Wallet

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are FOUR highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Friday, August 18, 2017:

  • Police issued 3 more speeding citations on Aldrich Road. (8:52am)
  • A caller reported losing their wallet at Speedway on Main Street, possibly driving off with it on the vehicle’s roof. (1:33pm)
  • A Winter Street caller reported 2 individuals going door-to-door with a clipboard. Caller was unsure what they were doing. Police responded. Individuals were from Primus (226 Lowell Street) who were speaking to Comcast customers about switching to Verizon. Police advised them to cease and desist. Police then spoke with their supervisor at Primus and explained the town’s solicitation procedure. (2:26pm)
  • The train gates at Main Street and Middlesex Avenue were stuck down. Police notified MBTA/Keolis. (4:13pm)
