FOXBORO, MA — The New England Patriots Cheerleaders are holding their 15th Annual Junior Patriots Cheerleaders program this Thursday, August 10, 2017.
Three Wilmington 9-year-old girls — Isabella Cooper, Maya Lanzi, and Annessia Tiberio — have been selected to participate. Each cheer for the Wilmington Pop Warner D Team.
Isabella, Maya and Annessia will be among approximately 250 cheerleaders from New England, ages 7 to 17, who get to meet each of the 34 Patriots Cheerleaders, receive a 4-hour cheering clinic from them, and perform on the field during the pregame ceremonies prior to the Patriots-Jaguars preseason opener.
The girls will then be announced over the PA system, stay on the field for players introductions and the national anthem, and then watch the game from the stands. They will receive a Junior Patriots Cheerleaders t-shirt, pom-poms, and poster.
Isabella, Maya and Aneessia’s relationship with the Patriots Cheerleaders will extend beyond August 10 as they will then be given opportunities throughout the 2017 season to make co-appearances at community events.
“The girls are just so excited,” says mom Edi-Jo Cooper. “Thank you to the New England Patriots Cheerleaders for providing this experience.”
