DANVERS, MA — Frank Salvatore Lentine, age 84, a longtime resident of Danvers, MA passed away peacefully at his home with family at his side on Tuesday, August 8, 2017.
He was the loving husband of Beverly (Dodge) Lentine with whom he shared fifty–six years of marriage. Born in Winchester, MA on May 6, 1933, he was the son of the late Salvatore and Antoinette (Signorelli) Lentine.
Frank was a graduate of Winchester High School and later graduated from Fitchburg Teachers College and Salem State College with a dual Masters Degree.
Mr. Lentine was employed with the Town of Wilmington, MA in the Public School system for thirty-three years as an Industrial Arts teacher and later in the Guidance Department. Frank was the head coach at Wilmington High for the soccer program.
He enjoyed traveling with Beverly around the world, biking, kayaking, outdoor activities and spending time with family and friends.
Frank served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a communicant of St. Mary of the Annunciation Parish in Danvers.
Besides his wife Beverly, he leaves a daughter Robyn Donovan and her husband Jay of Germany, Mark Lentine and his wife Tish of Danvers. He was the grandfather to Quinn, Maia, Lucas, Hanna and Mitchell. Also leaving several nieces and nephews. His seven siblings predeceased him.
Visitation will take place on August 11, 2017, from 5pm to 8pm, at Mackey Funeral Home (128 South Main Street, Middleton). A funeral mass will take place on August 12, 2017 at 9am at St. Mary of the Annunciation in Danvers. In lieu of flowers, donations in Frank’s name can be made to Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA 01923.
