WILMINGTON, MA — Stanley E. Peach, better known as “Sonny” to his family and friends, age 87, of Wilmington, formerly of Allston, died unexpectedly on July 22, 2017.
Stanley was born on June 23, 1930 in Boston, MA; he was the dear son of James and Laura Peach. Stanley was raised and educated in Allston, MA and spent his summers working on the family farm in Prince Edward Island in Canada with his brother Jim.

Following his return home, Stanley, met the “love of his life” Jean through mutual friends. Stanley and Jean married in 1952 and shared over 54 wonderful years together before her untimely passing in July of 2007. There were many great times and holiday celebrations at the Peach household for their family as well as their large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Stanley learned the lesson of hard work as a boy and he continued to be a wonderful provider for his family throughout the years but he always made time in his busy schedule to be a loving and devoted husband and father. Stanley was always there for countless little league games, drum corps. competitions, and family vacations to New Hampshire and Cape Cod. He made it a priority to be home with his family for dinner especially the large Sunday dinners where he would do the cooking. Stanley took the time to teach his children and grandchildren what was important in life and strong family values; family first, work hard, be honest and always help others.
In his spare time, Stanley enjoyed hunting in Canada, Fishing on the Cape with his family, travelling with his beloved Jean to Las Vegas or on one of their many Cruises.
After spending 74 years in his beloved city of Allston, Stanley and Jean decided to move to Wilmington due to health issues. His home in Wilmington was always full of family and fun as well as laughter and confusion but he loved every minute of it.
Stanley will be remembered as a “great guy” who always showed strength and dignity no matter what the situation was. He was always there to lend a hand to anyone in need. Stanley showed his family unconditional love and devotion throughout his 87 years; he was certainly “one of a kind” and he will forever be in the hearts of those he loved.
