Wilmington’s Brown & Newton Graduate From Trinity College

HARTFORD, CT — On May 21, 2017, the following Wilmington residents graduated from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut:

  • Margaret C. Brown earned a B.A. (magna cum laude) in Urban Studies
  • Christopher Alan Newton earned a B.A. in Economics

Brown was also awarded the Steven D. Levy ’72 Urban Programs Senior Research Prize and the Harry S. Truman Scholarship.

Brown was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa Society, the oldest honor society for the liberal arts and sciences in the United States. Trinity College’s chapter, the Beta of Connecticut, was chartered in 1945 and is the eighth-oldest chapter in the country.
