WILMINGTON, MA — Here are EIGHT things you need to know in Wilmington for Sunday, July 2, 2017.
#1) According to the National Weather Service, Wilmington will see a chance of showers, mainly before 7am. Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 90. West wind around 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
#2) The Wilmington Fun on the Fourth celebration continues today. The schedule is below:
7:00 AM – 10:00 AM Wilmington Minutemen, $5 Breakfast (Pancakes, Sausage, Coffee, Milk)
1:00 PM – 10:00 PM Carnival
7:30 PM Opening Ceremonies
7:30 PM – 10:00 PM Performance by the Windham Community Band (Sponsored by Analog Devices)
9:00 PM Raffle Ticket Drawing
9:30 PM Spectacular Fireworks (Rain date: Monday, July 3)
#3) The Wilmington Farmers Market is CLOSED today due to the Fun on the Fourth celebration.
#4) There is a yard sale TODAY beginning at 9am at Shady Lane Drive and Pinewood Road. Learn more HERE.
#5) The Middlesex Canal Museum and Visitors’ Center (71 Faulkner Street, North Billerica) is open from noon to 4pm. Learn about the canal, which travels through Wilmington.
#6) The Town Beach at Silver Lake will be open daily, with qualified lifeguards on duty from 10am to 8pm, weather permitting. Learn more HERE.
