WILMINGTON, MA — Here are FIVE things you need to know in Wilmington for Sunday, June 18, 2017.
#1) According to the National Weather Service, Wilmington has a chance of showers before 9am, then isolated showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Areas of fog before 9am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 86. Light south wind becoming southwest 8 to 13 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 33 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
#3) The Middlesex Canal Museum and Visitors’ Center (71 Faulkner Street, North Billerica) is open from noon to 4pm. Learn about the canal, which travels through Wilmington.
#4) The Town Beach at Silver Lake will be open daily, with qualified lifeguards on duty from 10am to 8pm, weather permitting. Learn more HERE.
#5) St. Thomas and St. Dorothy’s is holding a Food Drive and Cleaning Supply Drive this weekend. Donations can be left in each church’s lobby prior to each mass.
