POLICE LOG for June 12: Driver Allegedly Threatens To Shoot Other Driver; Incident At Fed-Ex; Man Arrested

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are NINE highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Monday, June 12, 2017:

  • Police noted trash was dumped in the path on conservation land near the train tracks on Grove Avenue. (6:33am)
  • A caller reported a vehicle passed Bus #16 at a bus stop at Woburn Street and Eames Street while picking up kids.  Female operator was on her cell phone while passing. (8:13am)
  • Police issued 10 parking citations in the MBTA Parking Lot on Main Street. (1:22pm)
  • Police notified Public Buildings that the flashing school zone lights near the North Intermediate School were not functioning. (2:34pm)
  • A group of solicitors from Anderson Windows check in at the station and were granted permission to hand out fliers in the Cunningham Street area. (3:23pm)
  • A caller reported being cut off by a white Ford van operated by a bearded man in a blue shirt. When caller confronted the operator, operator threatened to shoot the caller. No gun was thrown. Operator was last seen on Middlesex Avenue, heading south towards Elia’s.  Police were unable to locate. (4:12pm)
  • Police received a report than a reportedly recently fired FedEx driver purposely ran his box truck into a trailer at the business on Ballardvale Street.  Dispatch spoke with the operator, who claimed it was accidental.  Andover Police will handle the situation, as it took place over the line in Andover. (4:45pm)
  • A caller reported an unknown man approached her vehicle, stared into windows and child in back seat, and then struck windows. (5:46pm)
  • Nelson Morrell Jr. (37, Haverhill) was arrested on a warrant while driving on Salem Street. (8:13pm)
