WILMINGTON REC REMINDERS: Limited Spots Available In Playground Program, Kids Club & Morning Tennis

WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Recreation Department has a number of activities that begin right after school gets out for vacation so your child can get out and Recreate!

Morning Tennis Lessons

Monday – Friday, June 19 – 24, enroll your child in Morning Tennis Lessons to learn this life long sport. For only $60, this week-long clinic will teach beginning tennis skills at the outdoor Boutwell School Courts:

  • Ages 4 – 5 classes are from 9 – 10 a.m.
  • Ages 6 – 8 classes are from 10 – 11 a.m.’Ages 9 -12 classes are from 11 – 12 p.m.

Playground Program

The Playground Program at the Shawsheen School still has a limited number of openings. This very popular program includes arts and crafts, games, sports, indoor and outdoor activities, optional field trips, and of course, the playground! Your entering 2nd – 8th grader will have the freedom to choose from a slate of activities that interest him/her. At only $180, this program is a great value and runs from June 26 through August 2nd, 8:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Kids Club Program

There are also a few openings in the Kids Club program for children Age 6 (entering Grade 1) Session 1. This program is offered at the Woburn Street School from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. Children will participate in various activities each day under the supervision of Classroom Instructors and volunteers. For $180, this social/recreational program includes arts and crafts, games, special events, and a field trip. Each day has its own theme! Session 2 has openings in all the classes (except for the age 7/8 class).
Session 1: June 26 – July 14 (no 7/4); Available class: Age 6
Session 2: July 17 – August 3; Available classes: Age 4, Age 5, and Age 6
