PHOTO: Wilmington Middle School 8th Graders Visit Washington, DC

WILMINGTON, MA — On Friday night, Wilmington Middle School 8th grade students returned from a 4-day Washington, DC field trip.

On Tuesday, students departed from the Wilmington Plaza around 6am.  They caught a Baltimore Orioles-Pittsburgh Pirates game at Camden Yards at 5pm.  They arrived at their Washington hotel around 10pm.

On Wednesday, students toured the National Park, visited the Ronald Reagan Center, toured the Arlington National Cemetery, visited the World War II Memorial, and enjoyed a fun dinner and dance aboard an Odyssey cruise.

On Thursday, students visited the Newseum, the Holocaust Museum, and the Smithsonian Museum. Following dinner, students took an illuminated walking tour of many of the major DC monuments.

On Friday, students toured the U.S. Naval Academy before departing back to Wilmington.
