Wilmington DPW Launches Online Tools To Educate Residents On Stormwater Regulations

WILMINGTON, MA — July 1, 2017 marks the beginning of Wilmington’s new permit term with EPA’s National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) program, which has been established to help maintain clean stormwater in urbanized communities in Massachusetts.

As this is an important issue for Wilmington and all Ipswich River Watershed communities, it is the town’s duty to remind residents, commercial property owners, industries, and commercial developers of the importance of clean stormwater.

Please take some time to explore the DPW’s stormwater public education section HERE. Be sure to take the available online quizes to help the town document the effectiveness of its outreach efforts.

(NOTE: The above announcement is from the Wilmington DPW website.)
