WILMINGTON, MA — Francis P. Siciliano, “Frank”, age 77, of Wilmington, died peacefully on June 6, 2017, at the Winchester Hospital, surrounded by his family.
Francis was born in Boston, MA on February 13, 1940; he was the dear son of the late Pantelone “Pat” and Angelina (Roscoe) Siciliano.Francis was raised in South Medford and was a graduate of Medford High School.Following graduation, Francis, went on to continue his education at Northeastern University of Technology and landed a job at Pepsi Cola.
Francis loved his job at Pepsi. He retired following 43 dedicated years of service to the company.
Francis met his beloved wife of 56 years, Diana, on a blind date through mutual friends. He charmed her with his good looks and beautiful blue eyes. The couple married on May 14, 1961.
Francis and Diana moved to Wilmington in 1968 and raised three wonderful children; Mark, Denise, and Paul. Francis was a great dad and a terrific “Grampy” to Amanda, Patrick, Nicholas, and Alex; he loved to dote on his family and spend as much time with them as he could.
Francis had a love for cars and in his spare time, Francis enjoyed going to Revere beach with the family, soaking in the warm sun, and watching the kids play in the surf.
He will be fondly remembered for his huge heart and his unconditional love and devotion for his family and friends.Francis was always willing to help others no matter what needed to be done and he never expected anything in return.He was kind, friendly, and just the sort of person that everyone wanted to be around; he will forever be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Francis was the beloved husband of Diana J. (Cincotta) Siciliano, devoted father of Mark Siciliano and his wife Angela of North Reading, Denise Gedaminisky of Wilmington, and Paul Siciliano and his wife Linda of Kensington, NH. Loving “Grampy” of Amanda, Patrick, Nicholas, and Alex, dear brother of Anthony Siciliano and Marie Siciliano both of Port St. Lucie, Florida.Francis is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.
Family and friends will gather at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington on Friday, June 9th at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Dorothy’s Church, Main Street, (Rte. 38), Wilmington, at 10:00 a.m.Interment will follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington. Visiting Hours will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday, June 8th from 4:00-8:00 p.m.
