5 Things You Need To Know In Wilmington Today (June 2, 2017)

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are FIVE things you need to know in Wilmington for Friday, June 2, 2017.

#1) According to the National Weather Service, Wilmington may see a slight chance of showers between noon and 1pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1pm. Some of the storms could produce small hail. Increasing clouds, with a high near 72. West wind 5 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

#2) The Wilmington Youth Soccer Association is holding a Parents Night Out and Cornhole Tournament from 7pm to 11pm at the Wilmington Knights of Columbus Hall (112 Middlesex Avenue). The event will feature music and karaoke from Two Cousins DJ; silent auction; raffle table; 50/50 raffle; dancing; finger foods; cash bar; and more. Tickets cost $20 each. #3) The Wilmington Council for the Arts is holding its 37th Annual Art Exhibition on Friday, June 2, 6:30pm to 8:30pm, and Saturday, June 3, 1pm to 4pm, at the Wilmington Arts Center (219 Middlesex Avenue). Learn more HERE.

#5) The Wilmington Senior Center (15 School Street) is holding its regular Thursday activities:

  • Special Exercise (10:00am)
  • Brain Body Fitness (11:30am)
  • Bingo (1:00pm)
  • Cards (1:00pm)
