Into Action Recovery, Inc. is a local non-profit organization founded in Tewksbury in 2015 by a group of concerned parents, family members, citizens, and recovering addicts. They want to stop the vicious cycle of recovery and relapse. The group’s approach is based on wide spread success of other similar programs as well as interface and input from many sources.
Into Action Recovery was started by sisters Mary-Ellen Cooper and Mary-Jo Hanley. After family members became victims of addiction, they decided they had to do something. The group meets at the Tewksbury Hospital.
